12 Golf Tips to be a Power Hitter

Firstly, to understand how to become a power hitter, we need to analyse why the average golfer loses power, and hence distance.

Teeing up the golf ball too low
With the ball teed up too low, the driver is not able to sweep the ball away, but tends to force a steeper downward hit. The thought process came from an earlier period in golf, when the sweet spot was low down on the driver head.

The latest drivers have a larger sweet spot, and the sweet spot is higher up the face to give more spring effect.

To overcome this problem, tee the golf ball up, with at least half the ball above the top of the driver head.

Stance too narrow
Most average golfers have too narrow a stance when setting up to the ball. This tends to lead to an unstable base, and hence poor balance.

To overcome poor balance, a slightly wider stance is used with your toes slightly splayed out. The lead foot should be splayed out around 30 degrees.

At address the hands tend to be too close to the body.
This tends to give the club a narrow arc.

Really good players when using the driver will reach a little more, producing a much wider arc, dramatically improving their distance.

Swaying during the backswing.
There is a tendency to sway backwards, instead of turning about a pivot point. The weight is too much on the outside of the rear leg.

By all means move your weight to the rear leg, but only onto the inside of the trailing leg. Try turning more than swaying backwards.

Keeping club close to the body on take away.
This definitely loses you power.

Extended your arms away from your body, as if handing the club to someone to your right, whilst still maintaining your balance.

Keeping right elbow too close to your body at the top of your backswing.
A lot of average golfers will keep their right elbow too close to their body at the top of the backswing. There will be a loss of power here.

Ensure your right elbow stays out from your body, which in turn will induce a much wider arc, and hence more power.

Reverse pivot.
Reverse pivot is a big loser of power. This is where the weight tends to go towards the front leg on the backswing.

Overcoming this weight shift means concentrating on moving your weight onto your back leg, but not too far.

Ball position wrong.
There is a tendency to put the ball too far back in their stance.

The golf ball should be roughly opposite the left heel to allow for a nice sweep of the ball by the driver.

Left foot leaves the ground on the backswing.
By allowing the left foot (or trailing foot) to leave the ground on the backswing, this will not allow the body to wind up like a spring.

Keep the left foot down and turn your shoulders against the resistance of the lower body. This is a great way to get a nice coil for power.

Swaying on the downswing.
Average golfer will sway forward during the downswing.

To keep the power, move the hip slightly in a lateral movement, and start the club down, with the right arm tighter into the body.

Flipping the hands.
Some golfers have a bad practice of flipping the hands.

By keeping the hands cocked this gives a nice lag, and plenty of stored energy.

Hands too high at finish.
Having your hands too high at the finish produces a weak finish.

Allow the body to come through naturally, hips rotated over the left leg, allowing the right heel to come off the ground.

These tips will definitely get more power into your golf game.

Become Rich From Working Online

I am sure most of you have searched the Internet and seen people who have made their million-dollar empire from working online. Everyone tries to become this person by buying up e-books or promoting someone else’s product. I have tried them all. I was and affiliate, I bought tons and tons of e-books on how to create wealth working from home.

Anyone who has stayed up passed midnight has seen a commercial where people make millions of dollars selling houses or buying them or something like that. Do these really work? Is it really as easy as they make it seem? If you have bought into any of these programs then you know what I am talking about. They require you to pay thousands of dollars just to make a small amount of money. I don’t have that kind of money to spend, and I am sure you don’t either. Other programs required me to call people up on the phone and convince them to buy from me so they would go to in my down line. I have read the reviews and testimonials of people claiming to make millions. Well I was not one of those people.

So how is everyone making his or her money online then? It’s quite simple actually. They’re not selling anything there not getting anyone to sign up. What they are doing is INVESTING. They are taking money and investing into things that make money for them.

So what type of program makes money for you that is and investment? Arbitrage trading is a system that people have invested a lot of money into. Why? Because using this system you gain 1 - 10% per trade. You can use the arbitrage trading system yourself or you can join the member’s only pool.

The member’s only trading pool is where real arbitrage traders use the system for you. Its like investing into a stock and someone trades your money for you. Once you get your money for the month you can reinvest it back into the pool or you can keep it for profit. Arbitrage trading is a rising business in the market that many people don’t know about. Give it another year and everyone will be using arbitrage trading as there number one way to make money online.

The History of Corsets and How to Fit One Properly

Since the beginning of time, women have worn corsets. The
reasons for doing so are the same as it has always been, she is
taking care of her physiological or physical needs, or
expressing her beauty-loving feminine personality. Womanly
beauty is a matchless attribute; in all creation, there is no
beauty to surpass it. Women are serving an elemental purpose
when they foster and cultivate it, spend thought and endeavor in
keeping our bodies as perfect in appearance as we can. There is
an important lesson to be learned by each of us, one seldom
taught us by our mothers, and that is how to properly fit the
corsets we wear. No sensible woman expects to buy a perfectly
fitting shoe without trying it on. Likewise, she does not
nowadays expect to find day-long comfort and support in her
foundation unless she fits it personally. The object of good
corset is not constriction. Nature intended the organs of the
abdominal cavity to move about, and a correctly fitted corset
will permit the same freedom. The function of corsets is to
supplement the efforts of weak muscles in this cause, and the
introduction of elastic into corsets over the past few decades
has made it possible for corsets not only to augment the service
of the muscles by holding firmly, but to do so while at the same
time permitting movement. The essence of the corset is that it
is never completely rigid. Rigid in certain places it may
usefully be, but few corsets are made now without some panels or
gussets of elastic to allow for expansion and “give” in
breathing and moving, with inestimable gain to the wearer in
comfort, as well as health.

For the purpose of sizing the garments they manufacture,
different firms have adopted some different classifications of
figure types, though all are based on fundamentally the same
selective principles. Speaking broadly, figures are shaped in
one of three ways. Either they are “average or normal,” which is
to say not disproportionately wide in any one place; or they are
full at the bust and small at the hips; or they are small in the
bust and big at the hips. This gives the three main basic types
and they are:

Normal or average: Figure with a difference in measurement
between waist and hip of about 10 inches. Hip heavy types: With
a difference up to about 15 inches. Top heavy types: With a
difference down to about 6 inches. As shown above, very definite
characteristics mark the differences between each of these three
basic types. These characteristics carry in their train certain
equally noticeable tendencies. For instance, where the figure is
a hip heavy type and the difference between waist and hip
measurement is anything between 12 and 15 inches, the thighs as
well as the buttocks will be heavy and fleshy, and to
accommodate and control these, as well as the prominent back
curve, the customer will need a long, strong garment. The
difference between waist and hip, and between bust and hip, is
the guide to the type of average figure to fit. It should also
be realized that in each case there will be “small” or “full”
versions of the average type. The type of body one has is a
major determining factor is how well the corset will fit and if
it will be flattering or not on the woman.

Whale Hunting is for Experienced Whalers

The term whale is used for many things and it often relates to large, profitable accounts. The term for this newsletter is not about the water creatures that roam the ocean. This newsletter is about the business whales. The precious key accounts most salespeople dream about. The salespeople who handle these accounts are often the most courageous, detailed oriented and experienced in their company.

When you decide to go after a whale, you better bring a large boatload of key contacts and information. Because this is what whales expect. Know your stuff too. Knowing our stuff is important because we can embarrass ourselves and lose future deals by going for the sale too soon and not having accurate information. Whale accounts take time and require us to bring experience and knowledge with us. One thing I’ve learned is that whales like to talk with other whales. They do this because they think at a different level. It is really a decision profile we must learn and identify with. We will get into that later in this article.

Don’t go whale hunting alone

Success with whales can be achieved be anyone who simply has the courage and initiative to take on a whale. The process is often longer but the rewards are so much sweeter. You will need the time because one of the keys to success is to know their business. It is one thing to understand your own business, but it is important to understand the whale’s issues and their problems. Listening has always been a key to working with these accounts. Research into a whales business usually means that we have to listen to individuals who are not at the whale’s level. These conversations and the research at the lower levels pay huge dividends when a salesperson has confirmed what the problems are within a whales company. You will want to bring these people and their issues with you when “the meeting” actually takes place.

The meeting is when the moment of truth appears and all the time and research becomes ripe for a decision. At this point, you better know everything and how the whale thinks. Whales think differently than smaller fish. They look for the big picture. Most of the whales I have worked with, and there have been a lot of them, think the same and have the same type of conversations. They always want to know the line.

Know the right line - top or bottom line

I say line, because it is usually one of two lines. It is either the bottom line because they want to know how much it will save them. It might also be the top line so they know how much it will make them. This is the decision profile we wrote about earlier.

If you are not a whale and you want to sell to a whale, it is always a good idea to bring the largest fish in the company that you can. They will know how to talk about the top and bottom lines. It really boils down to these two lines. How much will you save them or how much will you make them and every large fish or whale wants to know these numbers?

Breakdown the numbers if you can and chart them for easy understanding.

Do your homework. If you are a whale but don’t think of yourself as a whale, fake it as best as you can but remember to toe the line. Keep thinking about why you make your business decisions and relate why they should make the decision to work with you. Just remember, it will either be the top or the bottom line. Asking good questions will lead you to the answer and the right line to use. Top or bottom!

Seafood Stews: Healthful Recipes from Around the World

I love the seafood stews that come from almost every region that borders on an ocean! They’re wonderful served over whole grains instead of white rice or pasta. Here are some of my favorites to get you started.

High concentrations of mercury and other toxins have raised concerns about the safety of some seafoods, but this appears to be a turf battle between various fishing interests more than an actual health threat. I believe that the benefits of seafood far outweigh the potential health concerns. If you are pregnant or nursing, check with your doctor for the latest guidance.

Color Help: Color Imagery for Happy Homes

Color researchers have estimated that up to 70% of our subconscious reactions to people and environments are based solely on our reactions to color. With that in mind, it’s important that you give special attention to the effects you want to create when choosing the color schemes for the interior spaces in your home.

Color is a visual experience that influences our psychological reality. The way the mind perceives the colors our eyes see is called color imagery, and that mental image profoundly affects our emotions and physical comfort. Colors call out to our feelings and create the emotional atmosphere within a room.

So always begin your color deliberations by asking yourself what feelings you want to evoke in a particular room. Give thought to the purpose of the room. For instance, bathrooms should be retreats for cleansing rituals. In that light, what colors come to mind? Refreshing, blues, greens, creamy white, or your childhood bathroom color? Envision a Florida spring, tropical lagoon, or mountain waterfall. Expand on your joyful memories by adding colors that work for you.

In contrast to bathrooms, a dining room’s purpose is to gather the family together to share meals. Psychologists have proven that food actually tastes better when served in rooms decorated in “food” colors, such as reds, greens, browns, yellows, and pinks.

In our 1878 Victorian dining room, we painted the walls hot pink and then created a transparent overcoat glaze, using an amber tint and polyurethane. The result is a soft peach color. (The amber tint was the paint color from a neighboring room.) After finishing the dining room, we wallpapered the ceiling and painted it dark green with a rouge red border.

Each room in your home serves a different purpose and will require some thought as to which color you will need to add to the walls in order to elicit a particular emotional and physiological response from the people who will be using that room for a specific activity. If 70% of our subconscious reactions to people and situations have to do with color response, that means creating meaningful backdrops for every room in the house isn’t something that should be approached lightly.
