Communicating CEOs

I see a PR firm has done a survey on the amount of time Canadian
CEOs spend on communication, and found they spend almost half of
their time on communication.

I think we’re supposed to be impressed that CEOs spend that much
time on communication. But, quite frankly, what else does a CEO
do? And, if you consider both direct and indirect communication,
wouldn’t that be more like 90%?

So, what do CEOs do, and how much of that involves communication
of one kind or another?

Well, they make decisions. But before they make them, good CEOs
get information from specialists in their organization. They
also may check other options by reading newspapers and
magazines, attending conferences, and talking to their peers.
All of which involve communication.

For example, let’s say a CEO must decide whether or not to
launch an important new product line. Before she makes that
decision, our CEO will have had discussions with, and reports
from, senior members of the sales department. She will also
consider the country’s economic outlook in the coming months and
years, talk to others about what competitors might do, and
review the financial implications with the VP of corporate
finance.

It’s all about gathering, distilling, and transmitting
information: what we call communication.

Turning to another CEO function, what about envisioning a new
future for the organization and developing a strategy based on
it? Again, communication can’t be taken out of the mix.

After all, you can’t just pick a vision out of the air. It’s the
outcome of reflective thinking combined with information,
knowledge, and insight. All of which come from communicating.

And, there’s often a kaleidescope effect before a vision
emerges. All sorts of information tumbles around in the mind,
over and over, like clothes in a dryer, until eventually a new
and promising pattern reveals itself.

For example, suppose the Vice President of Human Resources has
just been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, and the board
made it clear it expects him to put his own, unique stamp on the
company.

He might retire to his office and spend a lot of time inside
trying to think of a new direction. But, it’s far more likely
he’ll reach out, rather than withdraw. He’ll talk to staff on
the front lines as well as managers. He’ll read everything
relevant he can find in books and magazines.

As that information pours into his mind — as the communication
process enriches his imagination and knowledge — he’ll start to
envision possibilities. Some will be more promising than others,
and he’ll talk about them with others in the organization.
Eventually, some sort of consensus will likely emerge about the
most promising vision.

Those are just a couple of examples from the work of CEOs, but
you can see why I’m skeptical about the 50% figure: There’s not
much about a CEO’s job that does not involve communication of
some kind.

In summary, CEOs may do more than communicate, but almost
everything they do will be driven or influenced by communication
processes inside and outside the organization.

Need MORE TRAFFIC to your website or affiliate links?

How do you persuade someone to do what you want them to do?

A whole world of marketing exists around us trying to do that
every minute of the day. Do you even notice it anymore or, like
your prospects, have you subconsciously set up a system of
“radar defenses” against the daily bombardment of marketing
messages?

Take a minute and count up the advertising methods which fight
for your attention (and money) every day. Just the basic list
includes:

Yellow page ads

Newspaper and magazine ads

Postcards, catalogs, and direct mail circulars in your “snail
mail” box

Radio pitches interrupting the flow of your favorite songs

TV ads - about 20 minutes worth per hour now

Hundreds of storefronts, “mega” malls, and strip malls

Highway billboards by the thousands

Circulars hung on your doorknob

Illegal signs on stop signs and telephone poles

Legitimate email messages

Spam email or UCE (unsolicited commercial email)

Just these 11 sources can overwhelm your brain with marketing
messages. Like trapped rats, people develop defenses against
this never-ending onslaught. They throw up a wall or a “radar
defense” that goes into action the minute they smell a “pitch”
or a sales job. Don’t blame them. We all do it!

So how can you get around this psychological wall against the
constant sales and marketing messages? Well, the answer does NOT
lie in hitting people with more frequent and obnoxious
advertising or sly, sneaky tactics. You might get them to trust
you for a minute, but it will backfire in the long run.

You must do two things instead:

1. First, you must establish credibility for yourself and your
business as an expert.

2. Second, you must reduce their fears about doing business with
you.

Doing these two things will get you past their defenses and
allow you the opportunity to persuade them to buy your product.

So how do you accomplish these two “simple” things? What will
win someone’s attention, raise your credibility, and lower their
fear factor all at the same time? The one-word answer really
applies to most everyone.

Trust!

If a seller can get behind your defenses with information which
makes you trust them, then that credibility will carry over into
a sale much of the time.

How can you get this credibility?

Well, take this next fact as online marketing “gospel,” for many
people have proven its effectiveness.

Fact: Publishing and promoting with free articles gives you one
of the most powerful opportunities available to tip the buyer’s
credibility scale in your favor.

How can we prove this works? Quite easily actually. Take a break
from reading this and go check out a newspaper or magazine for a
minute.

Which do you trust more, the ads or the articles? Most people
will choose the articles hands down. Why? Because the articles
don’t try to “sell” you anything. Instead, they hand out useful
information for educational or other practical purposes.

Most of us grew up in a culture which says we can believe and
“trust” what appears in the standard “news” or “information”
format. In other words, if it appears in print, then we can
believe and trust the author.

So go ahead! Use this lifetime of conditioning to your advantage
in selling your products and services!

Very few things will create an atmosphere of trust and
confidence in people as reading one of your articles on a
subject that greatly interests them. It shows you know your
business. It also demonstrates you will do more than just try to
sell them something.

Publishing articles literally lets you fly under their
advertising “radar defenses.”

So remember these points when deciding whether or not to use
articles to promote your business:

1. Few things create as much trust and confidence in the minds
of potential customers as reading an article you wrote on a
subject which specifically and intensely interests them.

2. Articles establish credibility quickly because, right or
wrong, we’ve all been trained to trust the “news.”

3. An article, or series of articles, will differentiate you
from the competition, who bombard people with nothing but sales
messages.

4. Providing content-rich, non-sales-oriented articles will also
help build and solidify your relationship with existing
customers so they give you repeat business.

Portfolio Building Strategies for Stocks

Building a portfolio of stocks is not unlike building a
professional basketball team. You have to balance your supposed
superstars with a quality supporting cast, and you cannot
overload in one area. Balance, balance, balance. Especially if
you are like yours truly living off of your portfolio, wild
fluctuations, will kill your psyche, and your ability to operate
in a logical fashion. For us a stock portfolio consists of
around 10 holdings. For those of you who regularly trade along
with us at http://www.livingonlargecaps.blogspot.com, you know
that our holdings last for around four weeks. But even if you
hold stocks long term, or day trade, the philosophy of portfolio
building remains unchanged. The basketball analogy works if you
think about how many Michael Jordans you really need on one
team, the answer of course is one. At any given time, the stock
market will have a few hot sectors. Your superstars come from
these sectors, however, you can’t overload your portfolio with
stocks from these sectors because, when they fall out of favor,
which they often due without warning, your portfolio will skid
along with them. So what you need is a supporting cast to prop
up your superstar, when the game goes against them. Your
supporting cast likely will shine when your superstars are
crashing, they need to be complementary. An example that is
relevant right now is the energy sector, and more precisely oil.
Oil stocks have had a grand bull market, while the overall stock
market is treading water, the oil sector has been hot. However,
there have been corrections along the way. And one of these
days, it will be more than a correction, it will be a trend
reversal. It is very expensive to try to guess the trend
reversal, as you will be wrong along the way many, many times.
Especially in a pure sector like oil. The factors that lead to a
bull market in oil are easily identifiable, and the news coming
out is either bullish or bearish, it really needs very little
interpretation. Now take a sector like insurance. On first
glance the recent hurricanes should be bearish for insurance.
However, insurance also profits from favorable monetary policy
and interest rates curves. It is also a defensive sector so
traders will buy insurance when they are worried about future of
the stock market. In other words, there are many factors that go
into an insurance sector bull market. And to complicate it even
further, insurance companies do not move in lock step fashion
nearly as efficiently as pure industries like oil. Oil stocks
are like a well regimented military unit. Back to our example of
portfolio building, the oil sector’s bull market, has been
interrupted along the way. If you have been 100% in oil stocks
you actually would have done very well, however, your portfolio
would have had a tumultuous ride. A correction can last for up
to two weeks, and in that time your portfolio might have correct
up to 15%, a nail biting, ulcer inducing, dip in your net worth.
However, cushioning your oil stocks with say a stock that
upticks when the oil sector is going bearish on us, would have
resulted in a smoothing effect on your portfolio, and lessened
those nail biting periods filled with self-doubt, when you ask
why you even bother trading stocks, and that nine to five job
suddenly looks comforting. Some quick and fast rules we follow,
is no more than two holdings at any one time in related
sectors.. No more than 80% of our holdings are to be longs,
unless some longs actually go counter to the current trend. Such
as oil stocks, which actually are counter to the bulk of the
market. But if you have eight longs in say, insurance, banking,
retail, heavy machinery, technology, etc., then you must have
two shorts,. You will be surprised the smoothing effect that the
counter holdings provide. If you check your portfolio daily, and
let the gyrations effect your mood, it is important for clarity
of thought if nothing else. Always, always let the charts
decide, arm chair quarterbacking is expensive. Like guessing a
trend reversal, let the charts dictate and you trade
accordingly. In fact, I go so far as saying having an opinion is
expensive. I had thought oil was wildly over bought and highly
speculative for a long, long time. But the charts kept looking
good, so my opinion doesn’t really matter, only the facts
displayed in the charts do. And yes, sometimes they are wrong,
which is yet another reason to diversify.

Politically Correct Christmas Carols and Holiday Songs

Christmas Carols and Holiday Songs tend to exclude, marginalize and insult. Henceforth these songs will be re-written with new titles to avoid any real, imagined or perceived offense.

The word Christmas is exclusive to Christians and must be removed. Since it cannot be replaced with the word “holiday” (Holy Day) we will replace it with the innocuous phrase, “day off.”

“We Wish You a Merry Christmas”

“We Wish You a Merry Non-Religious-Specific Day-Off in Winter.”

Noel is another word for Christmas.

“The First Noel”

“The First Non-Religious-Specific Day-Off in Winter”

Don’t you dare exclude the down and out victims of capitalism at this time of the year.

“I’ll be Home for Christmas”

“I’ll be Home or in a Homeless Shelter for the Non-Religious-Specific Day- Off in Winter”

And let’s not let any covert references to race cloud your celebration (if you do chose to celebrate).

“I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas”

“I’m Dreaming of a Race Immaterial Non-Religious- Specific Day-Off in Winter”

The physically impaired must not be excluded.

“I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day”

“I Sensed the Bells on the Non-Religious-Specific Day-Off in Winter”

If physical disabilities are referred to in other songs, than they must also be performed in sign language, and made available in Braille.

“Do You Hear What I Hear”

“Do You Sense What I Sense”

Angels are spiritual beings, not everybody believes in the spirit life.

“Angels We Have Heard on High”

“Guiding Influences We Have Sensed on High”

Since the mute cannot sing, we shall substitute the term communicate.

“Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”

“Sense! The Herald Guiding Influences Communicate”

The word “holy” has religious connotations. We do not want to offend the secular.

“Silent Night, Holy Night”

“Silent Night, Devout Night”

And

“Oh Holy Night”

“Oh Devout Night”

The secular might also lack faith.

“Oh Come All Ye Faithful”

“Oh Come all Ye of Extreme Loyalty to Non-Material Evidence”

A person shall not feel excluded based on where they live…

“Go Tell it on the Mountain”

“Go Tell it on the Preferred Geographic Location”

…or their climate.

“Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow”

“Let it Perform a Favorite Weather Pattern, Let it Perform a Favorite Weather Pattern, Let it Perform a Favorite Weather Pattern”

Christians are sneaky. They often subtly hijack common terms in an attempt to own the language. The word “manger” has been hijacked to refer exclusively to the nativity of Jesus Christ and it must be replaced.

“Away in a Manger”

“Away in a Trough that Holds Livestock Feed”

The traditional birthplace of Jesus Christ is in Bethlehem, Israel. Since Bethlehem is inside of the Zionist occupied and disputed West Bank we have to apply a tentative name to this song.

“O Little Town of Bethlehem”

“O Quaint Town of Palestinian Joint Rule”

That was a good segue into the use of physical descriptions. The word “little” should never be used. It is demeaning. Especially when used to describe a person. References to a person’s gender shall also be forbidden especially when they help to reinforce stereotypes.

“Little Drummer Boy”

“Vertically Challenged Drummer Child of Undetermined Gender”

Other gender specific songs need to be re-done.

“Frosty the Snowman”

“Frosty the Hermaphrodite Snow Creature”

And

“Oh Come Let us Adore Him”

“Oh Come Let us Adore Him or Her”

This also applies to stereotyped roles in parenthood and heterosexualism.

“I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause”

“I Saw My Gynocentric Guardian Kissing a Non-Gender Specific Person who is Known to Wear a Red Suit”

We cannot stereotype overweight people as happy, nor make references to a person’s age. Even if they are saintly (another subtle religious term)

“Jolly Old Saint Nicholas”

“Happy, Plus-sized, Chronologically-Gifted, Highly Virtuous
Nicholas”

We kept the term Nicholas to preserve some tradition. We are not implying that Nicholas has to be a male name and males are the only ones who are capable of amassing enough fortune and possessing the generosity to be able to give presents to masses of people. Nor are we implying that females lack the physical strength and endurance to accomplish such a task. In order to balance this mistaken perception, we shall apply modern day affirmative action in order to level down the male ego and help balance the playing field.

“We Three Kings of Orient are”

“We Three Misogynist Autocrats of Eastern Asia are”

This especially applies to westerners…

“Good King Wenceslas”

“Evil White Male European Misogynist Autocrat Wenceslas”

…doubly, especially if they are Christian

“Good Christian Men Rejoice”

“Evil Narrow-Minded Homophobic Racist Misogynist Men Get Drunk and Abusive”

We don’t take tradition lightly. We actually found one traditional song that we ill keep in its entirety. We feel this song accurately portrays the typical man.

“Mr. Grinch”

Sample lyrics: “Your soul is an appalling dump heap overflowing with the most disgraceful assortment of rubbish imaginable mangled up in tangled up knots!”

Songs of Thanksgiving or, the Autumn Day Off, will also need to be deconstructed.

“Over the River and Through the Woods”

“Over the River and Through the Woods”

Subtitled: “Only after an environmental impact study on the effects of a horse-drawn sleigh upon the woods is conducted. And assuming the gentle vegetarian beast of a horse is not being forced to pull an overloaded sleigh and is doing so on a volunteer basis.”

We realize that this one may lose some of the warmth of its original meaning. This could be avoided if the grandmother (or grandparent) would just move back to the city and help stop urban sprawl.

And last but not least, we need to help swing the cultural pendulum away from the religious holiday and back toward the secular day off granted by the state. We can do this through songs that highlight the true Marxist origins of political correctness

“Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”

“Rudolph the Red Knows that the State Seizure and Re-distribution of Private Wealth is Fairer than Private Charity and Ensures the Survival and Growing Power of the State”

Content is King!

Content is King

Introduction

A pencil. Yes, a pencil. In my opinion, every great idea has started with a pencil. Sure, lots stay in someone’s head, but to me a great idea doesn’t have any value until it’s written down. Until it’s written down it’s just dust I the wind: here today and quickly forgotten tomorrow.

But, every great idea needs a little something extra. Maybe you’re great at design, but you simply can’t write worth a darn. Or, maybe, you have the best idea for a website, but no real way to get the word out. Either way, we all have different skills and we all have something to give and wouldn’t mind getting a little something in return.

The website I’m talking about today is really about just that: getting something valuable in return for something valuable. Whether you are a website owner or a writer, this website has been rather successful at giving you what you need, when you need it.

Constant Content is all about giving webmasters the content they need to make their sites great while at the same time giving authors the exposure and income they need to keep doing what they are great at. At it’s core, it’s about allowing people to play to everyone’s strengths.

The Gist of the Gist

There are really two parts to Constant Content. If you are a webmaster, there are hundreds of articles available for you as free content, licensed content or exclusive content. Constant Content will even have content custom written for you if you don’t find what you need!

It’s a little bit like having hundreds of writers sitting around at your beck and call. Some would call it spoiled, but I call it a dream come true.

The flipside of this equation is for authors. As you can tell, I’m an author. I’ve written articles, reviews, tutorials and curriculum for magazines, universities, books… You name it, I’ve done it. For me the two hardest parts about being an author are exposure and a revenue stream. Either you can’t find enough work, or the work you find doesn’t pay you often enough or well enough to make life easy.

For writers, this is where Constant Content comes in. It provides you a place to showcase your work, to license it (lots of people buy, lots of money for you) and even to sell exclusive, lucrative, licenses of content you prepare.

As I said before, Constant Content really is about connecting webmasters and writers up to form a team. A very cool concept which works very well.

Webmasters, Put Your Hands in the Air!

By now any smart webmaster should be aware that content is what makes the site go round. Even if all you have is an Ecommerce site, it’s still ultimately the content on that site which gives it legs. Your users need to know certain things, and content is what fills them in. Whether it’s articles, reviews, tutorials, essays or editorials, every site benefits from new, professional content.

Before we get in too deep to how you can get that great content right now, let me go through some of the basics of how Constant Content works for site owners. The process is fairly simple. You go to the Constant Content site. Then you find the type of content you are looking for (there are several ways of narrowing it down). Once you’ve found a piece you like, you are able to see a preview of it to make sure it fits with the overall tone of your site.

You then have a choice. Do you want a “Usage” license or a “Unique” license. A Usage license basically means you are allowed to use the license, but so is anyone else who buys a Usage license. It gives you the content you need, but does not guarantee you won’t find it elsewhere. The flipside of this is that the content is very well priced: often in the 10-20$ range, which isn’t bad at all. If you’re looking for exclusive rights to a piece of content though, you will need to purchase a Unique license. This will guarantee that nobody else buys the piece in question. It’s a bit like buying a print of a famous painting versus buying the original. Both are great, both will work, it just depends on your needs.

Ultimately, there is only so much content on Constant Content right now, as it is a fairly new service. So, what happens if you don’t find the content you like? Well, you can either submit a Request for Content and hope authors help you out, or you can apply to have a piece custom created for you. Sure, you’ll pay a premium, but you will also work with the author to make sure the piece is ideal for your project.

Whether you choose to buy content already on Constant Content or get it created just for you, ultimately you’ll find what you need, at a great price, delivered with a smile. Constant Content allows you to play to your strengths, without having to worry about all the extra hassles.

Authors, Princes Among Men

Being a writer is tough these days. Either you can’t figure out what you want to write about, or you’ve written tons of stuff that nobody’s buying. After all, we can’t all be John Grisham’s (nor do most of us want to… though the 3 boats wouldn’t be bad).

Working with Constant Content has several key advantages, at least in my experience. First, it helped get my name out there. I submitted several articles for free which are now in use on dozens of sites. It gave me exposure, and several times has given me opportunities to write custom content for a decent fee!

The other area Constant Content has helped me is in writing that I’ve just got “kicking around”. I haven’t sent it to anyone, it isn’t published and it’s basically just gathering dust. I can submit the piece to the site and just sit back. Sometimes I’ll get purchases fairly quickly. But sometimes nothing will happen for a few months. Somehow that’s even more gratifying. The fact that I can submit content, and have it pay me for years to come isn’t a bad deal at all. It feels a bit like some of the royalty checks for book contributions that I get.

Besides the ability to submit free content, Usage content, Unique content and custom content deals, there is one other great thing about Constant Content: referrals. I’ve referred several friends to Constant Content. Every piece they sell, I get 5% for. Yeah, that’s right. Sometimes I wish real world publishing worked like this, because I know a lot of authors. If every time one of my friends got a big signing bonus for a book I got 5%… I could practically retire.

You Too Can be King!

While I’d hate to be really cliché and say Constant Content provides a win-win situation, I really have to. If you’re a webmaster you have access to a growing repository of reasonably priced content. If you’re an author, you have an easy forum to not only let your writing speak for itself, but to make some decent money while you’re at it. Visit Constant Content now at http://www.constant-content.com to find out more and to sign up for your account.

Are You Frustrated You Have Not been able to Stop the Bullies?

You are frustrated as a professional! You have given these bully victims all of your best techniques, and they are still being bullied. What should you do?

You are out of ideas! You are have given this student your best shot. You know what you should do?

Keep trying.

Tell those bully victims to return to you every time they are bullied. Tell them to keep a list of what the bully says, when they say it and who says it. They can keep a chart.

Then, You should talk to the bully several times. Each time the consequences should become more severe for the bully. Some of the consequences should include discussing what harassment is and giving them the county policy on the consequences of harassment.

Secondly, a phone call to their parents should be made informing them that their child has been reported for bullying several times.
Thirdly, you can enroll that bully and victim in The Bully Zapper mentor program.

Note on talking to parents: be sure you have ample proof and several incidents to cite to the parent before calling them. I usually wait until I have an adult who has observed the bullying behavior to be sure I am reporting valid information.

Finally, after attempting several of these interventions, an office
referral and/or involvement of the administration should occur. If the bully is in the Bully Zapper Mentor Program already and they are still bullying, they should be removed at this point and referred to the administration.

I feel that it is more important to promote successful mentor/mentee
relationships, and refer the students who do not respond to more serious consequences. If these bullies are having some success with
their mentors, they should be told that they need to leave this particular student alone or they will be removed from the program.

At this point, in or out of school suspension could occur, possibly a class or schedule change for either of these students, and/or a Pupil Services Team meeting on both of these students.

Most of all, you are to be commended for your work with victims and the bullies too. With the above techniques, I have had great success with stopping the bullying, rehabilitating the bullies and making the school environment more comfortable for the former victims.

A Guide to Violin Makers

There are countless violin manufacturers around the world. From large scale manufacturers who employ several people with different specialties to make many violins a day to artisans and trained violin makers who painstakingly created their instruments one at a time, there is a wide variety of violin manufacturers to choose from.

Violin making is a complicated process. It takes someone with great skill to make violins that not only look great but have excellent sound quality as well. Violin makers usually start by drawing the violin’s design and making a metallic template of what it will look like. They then use the template to create a mould. The mould is a wooden structure shaped like a violin. The violinmaker then constructs the sides, or ribs, of the violin around the mould before making the front and back of the violin based on the mould. Finally, the violinmaker carves the neck out of maple and attaches it to the body. The last step is to add the bridge, head, and any other parts necessary to make the violin sound good.

Often, it is more economical to buy a violin from a mass manufacturer. These instruments are often as good as more expensive models. These manufacturers usually have several people work to make a single violin. For example, one person could specialize in making the neck while someone else carves the body. Having multiple specialists allows these manufacturers to produce more violins at a quicker pace.

Many of the best violins are made one at a time by one person. There are schools around the world that train students in the art of violin making. Violin makers often make expensive products that are preferred by the top players around the world. These violins are also more likely to become collector’s items than mass-produced violins.

Violin makers are skilled professionals who often perfect their craft only after several years of hard work. The art of making a violin is difficult to master, but those who can do it well are highly regarded and well compensated for their work.

Violins Info provides detailed information about antique and electric violins, violin music, sheet music, strings, and shops; violin makers and repair; and explanations of how to play the violin and a short history of the violin. Violins Info is affiliated with Business Plans by Growthink.

Storing your babies cord blood - stem cell storage.org.uk

The method know as 3d ultrasound scanning is used in early pregnancy, providing 3 d pictures of the fetus. Most times these pictures are collated and combined to make a “4d ultrasound”.

Three dimensional scans works similarly to the normal ultrasound methods except that the ultrasound scanning waves are directed from multiple directions. The ultrasound pulses can be reflected back then captured to provide information to construct a 3-dimensional image in in a similar manner to 3d pictures. 3d ultasound scanning was started by stephen smith and olaf von ramm at duke university.

It’s important to understand that sonologists around the world have always pictured 3d images of the body in their minds while doing 2d scans. However, until recently it was very difficult to do this kind of reconstruction on patient data acquired using ultrasound. With the advent of baby scans for the first time allowed us a peek into the thinking of a sonologist and so allowing us see the images on the ultrasound machine.

4d ultrasound imaging should utilize ultrasound energy following the same limits as conventional 2d ultrasound to create the 3d images. There is no data to suggest any harm due to 3d ultrasound, its use in non-medical situations should be undertaken with the understanding that a risk may exist.

Leather Seat Covers

A common model on the roads; there’s no eye-catching exterior; it’s just another vehicle in the parking lot or on the free way. But wait a minute! Look at its seats. They look superb! Does this model come with leather upholstery?

Your car can attract such statements without your having to spend a fortune on expensive leather upholstery. You may ask how. The answer is by covering your seats with simple, plush leather seat covers. Most people associate leather upholstery and leather seat covers with style and elegance. Any ordinary vehicle can turn heads with well-chosen leather seat covers.

Leather seat covers are usually custom made for the exact year, make, and model of an automobile and come in different colors and patterns. Most manufacturers of seat covers use leather for their products rather than vinyl or cloth or other cheap fabrics, like polyester and nylon. Leather requires an extra amount of care to keep it intact and looking good. Leather seat covers are not like any other. Opting for leather seat covers will cost you a great deal. Leather not properly maintained will suffer irreversible damage including fading, cracks, and brittle surfaces.

Caring for your leather seat covers include cutting off or wiping off abrasives that damage the fibers and cleaning the dirt and dust that block free air flow in the porous fibers. Wiping the covers with gentle solvents, like Pinnacle Leather and Vinyl Cleaner, is the first step towards leather care. Ultraviolet and infrared rays of the sun are as damaging to leather covers as they are to human skin, and your seat covers need constant protection from the sun’s rays to avoid fading. A conditioner that prevents staining is generally used to keep the covers UV protected and to prevent the fibers from getting brittle. It is important to choose a conditioner that the leather will absorb and that will revitalize the fiber pores, supplementing the oil and fluids that have evaporated from the surface.

Seat Covers provides detailed information on Seat Covers, Car Seat Covers, Dog Car Seat Covers, Truck Seat Covers and more. Seat Covers is affiliated with Portable Massage Chairs.

Importing Goods From China? Learn How to Use Sales Financing And Grow

It is no secret that many small importing companies have become big importing companies by capitalizing on the opportunity to buy goods from Chinese companies and re-sell them at great profit margins. With that accelerated growth comes a very big challenge. Sooner or later, you will get an order that exceeds your available financing.

Now what? Do you turn the order away? Do you send it to the competition?

Purchase order financing can help you deliver on this order and make the sale, while using none (or little) of your own money. It can help you make big sales and grow your company - sometimes exponentially.

To qualify for purchase order financing, you must meet the following criteria.

1. Your business must invoice between $50K and $600K per month

2. You must sell finished goods (e.g. be a re-seller or distributor)

3. You must sell your products to other businesses or to the government

4. Your profit margins must be at least 15% (higher is better of course)

If you meet these criteria, purchase order financing can help you deliver on those big orders and help you take your company to the next level. PO financing is simple to use and easy to qualify for.

A transaction works as follows. Once you have an order in place, the financing company opens a letter of credit naming your Chinese supplier as the beneficiary. The letter of credit (or LC) guarantees payment to the supplier, provided they deliver the products correctly. This enables you to complete the transaction.

Once the order is delivered to your end client, an invoice is generated. The transaction is settled once your end client pays the invoice, usually 45 days after receiving it.

As opposed to other types of financing, PO financing is easy to qualify for and to set up. The set up time is usually a couple of weeks. As you can see, this type of financing can help you grow your company by enabling you to take large orders that in the past you would have turned away.
